Dr. Olga Koza
PT, DPT, COMT
Physical Therapist
I moved to the United States from Poland at the age of 5 with my parents and older sister, and we settled in Garfield, NJ. I feel truly fortunate to have grown up in such a vibrant community, surrounded by so many different cultures and backgrounds. I developed my love for food and flavors in my younger years. After graduating from Rutgers University in 2009 with a BS in Biology, I went on to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in 2013. For the next seven years, I had the privilege of working as an outpatient sports physical therapist. In June 2021, I took a big step in my career and opened Optimal Movement Pelvic Health and Wellness, where I’m able to combine my passion for helping others with a deep commitment to improving their quality of life, especially in pelvic health.
I am a certified orthopedic manual therapist through the IAMT Institute. During my time as an orthopedic outpatient therapist, I had the privilege of mentoring and serving as a clinical instructor for many students. I also had the honor of being the clinical director of a facility, where I led a team of dedicated therapists. In addition, I bring over 10 years of experience in acute care physical therapy, working in both inpatient and homecare settings.
Core Values:
I believe in approaching every challenge with grit, drawing strength from the support and resilience of my family to persevere through obstacles while keeping my focus on the end goal. I value simplicity, always striving to find clear and effective solutions without unnecessary complexity, and I carry this mindset into my personal and professional life. Above all, I hold integrity at the core of everything I do, ensuring that my actions are guided by honesty, transparency, and a commitment to doing what’s right—principles that are rooted in the values I share with my family.

Favorite Movies, Shows, Podcasts & Books
I’m one NOT to have all time favorites of anything but I do LOVE Horror movies and Phycological Thrillers, Reality TV ( usually about dating hahaha ), Finishing a book these days has been hard but the most recent book I read was Come as you are by Emily Nagoski .
When I’m not working
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family brings me so much joy. We share a love for traveling and discovering new places together, creating memories along the way. I also find peace and pride in my garden, especially during the spring and summer. When my kids’ schedules aren’t too busy, we cherish simple walks with Donnie, our lovable Labradoodle, and enjoy sunny beach days. In the winter, we look forward to weekends on the slopes, making the most of our time skiing as a family. These moments are what truly fill my heart with happiness.
I have only had a couple sessions with Olga so far but I am blown away! One of the main issues I went in with is resolving and I’m at shocked that it’s happening so quickly. Olga is so kind, patient, and warm and really hears what I have to say. I feel extremely comfortable in the facility. It’s clean, calming and comfortable and Olga is incredibly knowledgeable. I am sooo glad that I found optimal movement PT and can’t wait to continue!
Going to Olga was one of the best decisions I have made! She made me feel comfortable and confident that we could resolve the issues I was having from the very beginning. She helped me heal post-birth pelvic floor issues as well as lower back pain. Her therapy combined with the exercises she recommended helped me so much! I will definitely be returning to Olga when I’m pregnant again and post-birth. I also saw Olga for an issue I was having with my knee. Within just a few appointments she had me back to normal and pain free!
All moms should give pelvic floor therapy at optimal movement a try. Often people mention that their body changes after having kids and they can’t recover, but I have learned that’s not true and receiving this therapy has helped me recover in ways I didn’t think were possible. Olga is very knowledgeable and has a lot of passion for what she does. She is constantly thinking about ways to help me so I can feel my very best. Another thing I love about going there is she gets so excited when she sees my progress and when her exercise plan worked. I highly recommend that you give optimal movement a try.
